🎄Christmas for Devon Energy in Oklahoma’s STACK play

Devon Energy Stack completions

Story by Jerry Bohnen| OK Energy Today.  Oklahoma’s STACK play proved to be another source of success for Devon Energy as the company filed completion reports on four wells on a single pad with more than 3,600 barrels of oil a day and more than 19,000 Mcf of natural gas in production.

Christmas came early when the wells were completed in October.

All four Devon wells are located in Section 27 15N 10W in Blaine County. The site is about 8 miles northeast of the town of Geary or 10 miles southeast of Watonga, the county seat of Blaine County.

The Dakota Carol 27_34-15n-10w 5hx produced 1,085 barrels of oil a day and 4,758 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 21,529 feet. The well had a February 2022 spud date according to its completion report.

The Dakota Carol 27_34-15n-10w 3hx produced 791 barrels of oil a day and 4,564 Mcf of natural gas. Its drilled depth was 21,447 feet following a January 2022 spudding according to the completion report.

Devon Energy Well Site

The third well, the Dakota Carol 27_34-15n-10w 2hx, had production of 795 barrels of oil a day and 5,690 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed a drilled depth of 21,435 feet following spudding in January of this year.

The fourth Devon well, the Dakota Carol 27_34-15n-10w 4hx, was completed on Oct. 23 from a drilled depth of 21,228 feet and produced 967 barrels of oil a day along with 4,336 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed an early February spudding.

Combined production was 3,638 barrels of oil a day and 19,348 Mcf of natural gas.
