Citizen Energy II: Woodford Highlights in Grady County

Citizen Energy II, LLC, a private Tulsa-based company has been active drilling Woodford tests down on the Canadian and Grady County line, in Township 10N, Range 6 West, a township with approximately 115 active, current producing wells, mostly vertical wells producing from the shallower Prue and Skinner formations along with some deeper Mississippian and Hunton producers.

Back in February of this year, Citizen completed two horizontal Woodford producers from a common pad in Section 22-10N-6W. The Hardesty #1H-22-15 was drilled northward under the Canadian River to 17,838 ft, 9,874 ft true vertical, and bottomed in Section 15-10N-6W of Canadian County. It tested 3.3 MMcf of gas, 285 bbl of 50-degree-gravity condensate and 265 bbl of water per day and was fractured and acidized at 10,260-15,694 ft. Tested on a 20/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was recorded at 1,636 psi.

The Hardesty #2H-22-27 was completed with a south-trending lateral flowing 7.75 MMcf of gas, 225 bbl of 50-degree-gravity condensate and 298 bbl of water per day. Drilled to 18,231-ft, 10,269 ft true vertical, it bottomed in Section 27-10N-6W and was perforated, acidized and fractured at 10,216-18,130 ft. Initial tests were run on a 24/64-in. choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,545 psi. The completions are the first horizontal Woodford producers in the heavily drilled township.

PRODUCTION

IHS reports the Hardesty #2H-22-27 produced a significant 0.8Bcf of gas in its first three months of production.  IHS has not yet reported on the Hardesty#1H-22-15, but The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) shows production for this well in April and June at a combined 214 Mmcf of gas.

FUTURE ACTIVITY

In the map below, the blue shaded sections indicate where Citizen Energy II, LLC is actively preparing to drill additional wells, based on the success of the two Hardesty wells.  The shaded sections all have active regulatory filings for spacing and/or pooling.
