ConocoPhillips has signed an agreement with Sempra Infrastructure for a 30% equity stake in the Port Arthur LNG project in Texas. The deal also includes a 20-year tolling agreement to offtake 5 million metric tons per year of liquefied natural gas from the terminal.

ConocoPhillips, Devon Energy and Pioneer Natural Resources have joined the methane emission reporting program Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 Initiative. The three US companies join 80 others, which together represent 30% of the world's oil and gas production assets, in reporting emissions data, in an effort "to advance meaningful change at a fast pace," said Devon Energy CEO Rick Muncrief.

Continental Resources won approval this week from North Dakota regulators for a proposed 3-mile pipeline to conduct an enhanced oil recovery project. Work on the line will begin immediately and take about a month to complete.
Considered to be one of the most active oil and gas operators in the Williston Basin of North Dakota, the Oklahoma City-based company was awarded a permit by the public service commission to build the 3-mile line to carry natural gas from the WBI pipeline to its well pad in the northwestern part of the state.
The company highlighted the new process of injecting natural gas into the ground to extend the production life of a well as a way to keep producers drilling for the foreseeable future.
