The International Energy Agency cut its 2025 global oil demand growth forecast to 1.03 million barrels per day, down from 1.10 million bpd, blaming worsening economic conditions driven by US trade tensions with China, Mexico and Canada. The agency expects global supply to outstrip demand by 600,000 bpd, a surplus that could swell to 1 million if OPEC+ ramps up production beyond April.

A SpaceX Crew Dragon arrived at the International Space Station early Sunday morning with two new NASA astronauts, a Japanese astronaut, and a Russian cosmonaut, clearing the way for Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams to head home, perhaps later this week. NASA insists that the pair has not been stranded this whole time, but instead that they were intentionally kept hanging for technical and budgetary reasons. Speaking of budget, Wilmore and Williams apparently will get no overtime or compensation above and beyond their usual salary for the extra months spent working from space, according to a retired astronaut familiar with the government’s terms. Who could blame them if they start thinking about NASA as just their job five days a week?
